#Eats: Mao's Kitchen -- Venice, CA
Chinese restaurant with interesting decor that offers take out until 3AM :)
LOCATION: 1512 Pacific Ave, Venice, CA 90291
OVERALL IMPRESSIONS: Lots of interesting artwork on the walls --the setting could be almost romantic. Unfortunately, that is all this place has going for it. The food itself is just standard fare Chinese food that is a bit better than panda express, but nothing out of the ordinary. The prices seems somewhat fair at 8 to 11 dollars a dish, but at that rate I might as well go somewhere else. There's also a row of homeless folk who crash to the left of the place so not necessarily the best spot if you're thinking of eating in.
Note: Mélissa likes Panda Express better-- but she highly supports all Chinese food options with A ratings!
WHAT WE ATE: Kung Pao Chicken and Beef Chow Fun
WHAT WE RECOMMEND: Both these dishes weren't amazing. If you end up going there and are ok with meh Kung Pao Chicken or Beef Chow Fun, then those dishes are fine. Do not go there if you are looking for amazing Chinese food.
