We are back! Almost settled in + painting my office!

The last eight months have been an exercise in patience and willpower for us! In this short time we managed an unexpected cross country move, got into 2 serious car accidents, had some family surprises, built two homes from scratch and became landlords. 

While we didn't have much time to write and update the blog I can assure you that we most certainly did not forget about you! We somehow found time to film the journey and now that we're almost settled we're ready to start sharing!

Going through such a trying and complicated time made me realize that there is so much knowledge out there about getting yourself set up and the big life changes folks go through that is sadly not shared and when it is shared it's too often glamorized. 

Over the next few months we will be releasing our content with the goal of just being real and with the hope that sharing our life changes will make it a little more manageable for other people going through it.  We also think it will make up for an epic family video album for our little penguins when we have them :). 

It's most definitely not all serious but sometimes something as small as painting a room can seem like a giant obstacle especially when you have a lot of other things to do.

I hated my office soon after we moved in due to the lack of light— to be honest it felt like corporate all over again. A couple of colors and a few coats of paint later it's a space that I'm happy to spend 70% of my time in!
